Gordon Ramsey's choice...

I mean, would you eat a raw chicken egg?? :cardie:
You'd drink it raw - and plenty of people do. In homegrown protein mixes that bodybuilders mix up, amongst other things.

And if you've ever had eggs cooked soft or over easy, where there's still a lot of runny yolk and/or albumin, that's not far off at all, either.

Ewww...all of those ideas make me sick just to think about it! I'll take scrambled or deviled, thank you!

Basill--We never got to see what taspar eggs are like cooked. They could be a lot better than when raw. I mean, would you eat a raw chicken egg?? :cardie:

Now, the way you describe the regova eggs sounds awesome. Come to think of it, you're probably right about what they're most like!

Well, that's true about the taspar. Though it wasn't the raw or cooked that bothered me most, it was the one that was nearly "full term and mobile" that made me wanna barf. That was probably the sick Cardassian torturers point. I actually like my eggs (chicken) fried over-medium; the yolk a little runny but not completely raw. But I tend to steer clear of baby chicken embryos sloshing around in the shell.

Taspar might be quite good unfertilized and boiled or made into an omelet or something. They look like ostrich eggs. Heck, they probably were. Anybody ever eaten Ostrich or Emu eggs? I wonder what they are like.

What I remember about the regova eggs is they looked sort of green in color. Was that the shell or could they have been hard boiled or pickled or something? They certainly looked garnished, but they may have just been tapped open on one end and eaten like soup. All I know is those two Cardassian chicks didn't care for them at all, but they weren't all too keen on the standards of Cardassian society. :cardie:

I've always associated yamuk sauce with a sort of runny dijon mustard, maybe even a mustard dressing, but that is just my mind trying to put something in it's place.

Ha, for some reason yamok sauce has gotten tied up with sweet-and-sour sauce, in my head.

And yeah, fertilized eggs, I would NEVER go anywhere near, although I hear they're eaten like that in some countries. But you're right that Madred's whole point was to revolt Picard as much as possible during that torture session. So I somehow doubt that anything he did was reflective of true Cardassian cuisine.

True...but since the CARDY's always seem to have an expression of 'stress' on their faces, maybe its due to spending to much time in the restroom VIA their food..
