Re: Playable pacman on google front page

It's like all my birthdays have come at once.

Re: I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but...

If you hit the coin slot once, you can play single-player. If you hit is twice, you can play multi-player with Mrs. Pacman.

This shall be a day long remembered. :D

Oh, and welcome back! :)

I got 3400. Not bad, but the keys just didn't respond quickly enough.

Google is very cool with their logos, though.

Happy Birthday, Pacman.

I am now going to merge the two Google Pacman Threads. The Board software will decide which is primary. ;)

Re: I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but...

Good Grief, how many of these things are there? :rommie:

Stand back. Merging again.

Well, apparently this latest event has cost the economy in terms of several lost man-hours:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/10153286.stm

The Pac-Man game Google put on its home page gobbled up almost five million hours of work time, suggests a study.

The playable version of the classic video game was put on Google's front page on 21 May to celebrate 30 years since the launch of Pac-Man in Japan.

The search giant reworked the game so the layout was arranged around letters forming its name.

The Pac-Man game proved so popular that Google has now made it permanently available on its own page.

And it's here:

Well, I'd suggest that those same wasted man-hours would have been wasted one way or another anyway.
