DontFeedPhil

Fleet Captain
I just wanted to let people on this site to AVOID Google Chest at all costs. Its a SCAM. Im sure most of you have scene these ads on this site and others. Where you can make up to $5000.00 a month by posting links for google...
Well they get you to sign up for an informational DVD for $1.97 and what they dont tell you is that if you dont cancell with in 10 days they are going to charge your credit card $72.21. Cancel what, The whole scam is that they make you think that you are just signing up to get the dvd. There is NO mention of being enrolled in a club or anything for that matter. The whole thing is a SCAM.
I have a "friend" who fell for this...yeah, a "friend". So I figured Id let people know since I have sceen these ads on this board...

No offense, but it sounds like your friend deserved to lose their money if they fell for something like this.

As this a SCAM and in no way is affiliatied to Google , I wonder what action Google is actually taking over it?

I wouldn't mess with Google-- there's no place on Earth you can hide from them.

Thanks for the heads up! And I'm sorry for your "friend" who got scammed by this. I've seen these before on google.com as well. They seem too good to be true if you ask me! That's how they sucker you..by making you pay for a DVD..then charging you more for it. It's ridiculous!
It's like those car warranty phone calls that I used to get.

Too bad for your friend, man. Tell him/her that most of us fall for a scam at one time or another.

All your friend can do is put the insight aside for a rainy day.

I came across this description of what was on the DVD

Ok so I got my post links to Google CD in the mail. Lets see if I can get paid in 48-72 hours like they claim. I was curious but not excited. I popped in the CD at first I thought whoa look at all this stuff. I then realized that all these files on this CD are basically useless. The CD is full of old eBooks, software and Web Site templates anywhere from 2001-2005 to which you have the resell rights to. I supposed if you have built a website before you can create a bunch of sites and upload these niches and try and get some sales. I would guess that from the dates of these ebooks and websites and the information on them, that you won’t get many sales. Just about all of these books and sites have outdated information. For the eBooks teaching you the use of keywords for example, still make reference to Overture.com. Overture was acquired by Yahoo in 2003. This gives you some idea to the age of the resources on the disk.

he adds

This CD is full of old websites, download able software, and ebooks that are outdated and obsolete. I believe this is done in an attempt to get you to miss the 7 day cancellation period.
