What are some of the major goofs - including plot holes - that can be found in "STAR TREK NEXT GENERATION"?

There's a pretty funny shot in The First Duty during Wesley's trial where it looks like Patrick Stewart is barely able to stay awake. They even point it out on the commentary.

1. countless amount of torpedoes
2. limitless shuttles, which are even available after destruction
.
.
oh damn, wrong series :-)

no seriously, one mistake is the episode, where they rescue Scotty out of the beam-puffer from the dyson-sphere. And Scotty thinks, Jim Kirk is there picking him up with the enterprise. We all know how this could happen (because "Relics" was produced before Generations), but in the series itself it has to be counted as an error.
Or Scotty was just so old that he forgot.

In the teaser from Best of Both Words, part one, they comment that they are beaming down into the center of town, but then the visuals clearly put them on the outskirts, looking into the destroyed colony.

Darmok where the phaser beam comes out of the torpedo tube.

In 11001001 they are willing to destroy the ship to stop it from being stolen to the point that they give themselves a hard time limit to regain control.

In Rascals they surrender the ship because Ferengi have one phaser on one person.

How about the one with the Daimon from The Battle/I]. It seems that in Ferengi society that once you've been disgraced and shown to be trying to do stuff without a motive for profit, then you are unfit to Captain a Ferengi ship. So how does that Daimon get another ship to harass Picard in Season 7, without the other crewmembers knowing that he had been stripped of his Daimon rank?

He bribed his way out of the dungeon and perhaps misdirected his business associates that he was absolved of the accusations and was wrongfully arrested. He'd seal the deal by conveying to them an apparently persuasive plan to win a profitable ransom.

The goof with the Ferengi is that their portrayal is just a bit too exaggerated. Some of the later Ferengi episodes, particularly on DS9, come across as pure sitcom.

Every episode listing on IMDb has a page called Goofs, where users can submit errors of various kinds to specific episodes.

Since I was just writing about Data and Lore in another thread, I'll pick -- for example -- the episode "Datalore". Here are the goofs IMDb has listed for it:

This one had some coding erros I had to fix:
Anachronisms
Data states that he was found on the surface of Omicron Theta "26 years ago". The first season of TNG takes place in the year 2364, which would imply that Data was found in the year 2338. Yet in the pilot episode, "Encounter at Farpoint", Data tells Commander Riker that he graduated from Starfleet Academy "Class of '78", which would imply 2278--a full 60 years before Data was found. Since the 2364 date was not established until the Season One finale, it is feasible that such an error could not have been predicted at the time.

Character error
When Data first discovers Lore's body components, he has a very emotional response to this, such as when real humans discover a long-lost relative.

Character error
At the beginning of the episode, Picard announces the stardate as 41242.4. After the opening credits, Riker uses a stardate of 4124.5, leaving out a digit.

Continuity
During the pre-credit sequence, when Data and Wesley Crusher enter the bridge, Data declines the offer to pilot the ship into orbit. There follows a short cut-away showing an unknown crew member leaving the con so that Wesley can sit in the chair she occupied to pilot the craft himself. The crew member is clearly shown behind Wesley starting to proceed up the ramp towards the back of the bridge, yet when the camera switches back to Riker, Data and Picard, the crew member is not shown to walk behind them.

Continuity
Data confides in Dr. Crusher about his on/off switch located on his right hip and asks her to keep it secret. Later Dr. Crusher confronts Lore, pretending to be Data, about him telling everyone about the switch he wanted to keep secret. Lore states that he felt that the bridge crew should know about it, which would include Riker. In season two during "A Measure of a Man" Riker is reviewing Data's schematics which shows a manual control in-between Data's shoulder blades. Riker smiles as if this is the first time he has heard anything about it and then proceeds to turn Data off during the trial, using the back switch instead of his hip switch.

Plot holes
After Wesley's initial outburst, he, Riker, and Lore-masquerading-as-Data leave the bridge, but Riker and Wesley return before Lore does. This would be a perfect opportunity for Wesley to plead his case to Riker, but he doesn't.

There are others, but they are listing under the Spiolers section below the regular goofs, so I'll let use regular viewers go there instead of spoiling new viewers:

Nah, we were just seeing the Scotty from the JJverse where Kirk never disappeared saving the B from destruction. ;)
