Loved Brokaw especially!
Loved Brokaw especially!
It's funny, Brokaw not only made this appearance in Conan's first show, but in Dave's CBS debut. Tom walked out on stage in the middle of Dave's monologue, took a few cue cards from the stagehand and said, "These last two jokes are the intellectual property of NBC," and walked off stage to Paul and the band playing the NBC Nightly News theme song.

Awesome!I wish there was video of that somewhere, can't seem to find it.
I was in my teens when Carson was finishing up his run and I never cared for him. I always preferred it when Leno was guest hosting.Growing up, I thought Johnny Carson was a show for geezers.
This was like if "Late night with Conan" went to LA for a week LOL
Growing up, I thought Johnny Carson was a show for geezers. Leno I ignored for years, but later watched and kinda enjoyed.
The NBC affiliate where I lived didn't even show Conan O'Brien at all for years.
I liked Conan O'Brien, but I always thought he had more of a "regular people won't get the joke" appeal (one reason his tenure on the SIMPSONS was the best era of that series). He's not a Jay Leno. I dunno how he's gonna translate to 10:30/11:30 viewers.
WORD!!!!Two words why I will be watching Conan's premiere:
Pearl Jam
