God

In one of the audios, the Davros origin, they tell us that Dalek is "old Kaled" for God(s). I'm not sure if that's the first time that's been put forward but it's certainly more interesting than "oh it's an anagram!"

"The oncoming storm"

Is there a Dalek Poet laureate?

Because that seems a little flowerly for the Daleks?

I wonder which of his enemies, as a species down to their smallest child, know him best as "That asshole"?

Wait?

If the Doctor is the oncoming storm, then doesn't it mean that the Daleks think of themselves as "Endless Sunshine" ...Which if you remember your classic My Little Pony is a bad bad thing.

That's actually my one real complaint about Genesis of the Daleks.

"Kaled".

Why? So they could pull a "gotcha" and make Dalek an anagram of Kaled? That's stupid. Everyone knew Daleks were in the serial, the name of the damn thing gave it away!

I wish they had just stuck to what they had established in The Daleks. Skaro is inhabited by Dals and Thals. The Thals remained humanoid and the Daleks were mutations of the Dals.

In Impossible Planet/Satan pit the Doctor does mention that the Kaleds had some kind of devil analog. Of course this is before they met the Doctor, so the Dalek devil is probably him.

Of course we had the Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways Daleks worshipping the Emperor as the god of all Daleks (And the Emperor seemed to see himself as a god)

The Thals have appeared in some of the novels and possibly the audios as well. I think they created a Thalek or something.
