No, not another one of my Pro-shatner posts!

Okay...five different Star Trek shows. There are fans of each of the shows, or heck all of the shows...But each show had bumpy episodes, as we ALL know. What single episode from each specific episode turned it around.

Meaning...how long into each show, or what ever TREK show you watched, for them to put out an episode that had you saying to yourself; FINALLY! They seem to know what they are doing.

Doesn't have to be a great episode. But is showed a brief look at what could be if they got it right.

As much as I have said that Enterprise was a wasted opportunity there were some good episodes. "Dear Doctor" was probably the first good one with Phlox & Archer deciding about whether to let a species live or die from a pandemic (good pre-Prime Directive episode).

I have to admit I wasn't a fan of Enteprise, and gave up after a while. But that episode was really good. I think its the only one I actually remember from season one.

DS9: "Duet"

Didn't watch most of them beginning to end in their original run - Enterprise is the only one that I did this with (only because I watched the other series on DVD).

For Enterprise, at least to me, it was never one episode; it was a whole season - the third season. I think it's probably one of the 4 or 5 best seasons in all of Trek, and that turned it around for me; the fourth was very good as well. By contrast, the first two seasons of ENT were a pretty huge disappointment for me.

The pivotal one for TNG was The Best of Both Worlds Part I although there had been glimmers here and there but for me this is the one that sealed it.

For DS9 it was the Circle trilogy at the start of season two that really showed the potential for the show. To this day it is one of my favorite arcs.

For Voyager it was Scorpion. The series had been all over the map and after a very poor third season this seemed to show a potential I hadn't really witnessed for the series to be great.

For ENT I'd say Twilight and it did presage the creative upswing with season three and season four.

ENT: Unexpected (i was never spoiled so it was a delightful, funny surprise and -- it's also when I totally fell for Trip/CT)

ENT: Dear Doctor got my hopes up...it wasn't till Coto fully took the reins in Home that I really started to sense a change...and The Forge hammered it in.
