Goals. Score!

Long Term: Rule the world.

I will not divulge those plans, sorry.

This is my plan also. Likewise, I will not divulge further details either. I, however, am not at all sorry. My advice to you: Begin making plans for a cold war. :vulcan:

Short Term? Mostly, my goals involve keeping my Starship in a stable orbit of the classified planet which it is presently circling. At the moment, that seems to be a big enough goal to keep me occupied.

Somewhere along the way, I also want to marry Donna Reed and star in the next incarnation of It's A Wonderful Life. I might not actually be able to do that, but chances are I can still get the Christmas tree. :guffaw:

short term goal would be to get a website running well.
long term try to convince other half it wasnt my fault her hamster died when she was away.
(small goals but I can add to them later)

My goals-

1. Not get fired from current job.

2. Start back to school to get an accounting degree

3. Learn enough Russian so I don't totally embarass myself

4. Travel to Ukraine

I plan to set up a special hall in my castle to commemorate those fellow BBSers who perished in the battles leading up to my domination of the world. RIP. :(

^I can't help but notice that thus far I am the only woman whose goal is world domination. I am up against a group of men. Indeed, a group of male Trekkies. You speak of valiant death in battle. My battles will be won with seduction, manipulation, negotiation, words, lust. My ascent will be subtle, I will linger in the shadows. Behind every great man is a woman holding the strings...

I can almost taste the sweetness of victory now.

Also, I want to lose five pounds so I can fit comfortably in my size 4 skinny jeans again, I need to break out that Jillian Michaels DVD.

^I have no doubt that's how you would go about it  Well if you want a propaganda video maker I'm up for the job.

Me I'd like to first an foremost get a job I actually like. I have one right now that's not the worst I've had, but it is not terrible well payed, it's very exhausting work a lot of the time and I'm basically just still there since I don't have anything else.

What I want to do is be a film editor. If I can get there I'll finally be happy jobwise.

After the job is fixed I obviously want my Camaro. But seeing as I've found out I just barely fit in it heightwise I'm actually going to be checking out both the Challenger and the Mustang once it's time to buy a car. But it's gotta be a V8 and RWD.

My biggest want on the want list though is to do my planned road trip trough the US with at least my brother and to make a documentary film during that trip. I had a subject for it a bit back but I came to think that it wasn't such a good subject and scrapped that idea. Perhaps just simply do a film about why go on a road trip trough the US?

The thing with that plan is that I need to wait a few years so my brother is old enought to get a license so both of us can drive, and it's going to cost me about 10K at least to the trip, so saving up the money is a good plan.

Then it's just the more personal stuff like lose my virginity, get some kind of relationship and so on. Not so much for getting married and having kids anymore. For me just getting the first two steps are proving hard enough. Plus I think I'm a bit too selfish to be a good enough dad.

Speaking of actual, attainable near-to-moderate future goals; here's one. I have a computer project which I keep putting off but want to get around to finishing.

I have a heavily upgraded computer that is almost 10 years old, and another computer which I use as my primary and is a little over a year old. I've got two old computers that I got from someone and need hard drives/OS's installed, but other than that are ready to go; but in addition to all of these, I've got a partly built high end system upstairs in the closet waiting for funding. My goal is to have all 5 of my computers 100% functional by the end of 2010 (next year).

Granted, I don't care about gaming as much as I used to, and it isn't like the 2 comps I've already got running isn't enough... but to the inner nerd in me, they are like friends or relatives, or something. :p

I've got family and business goals as well, but that starts edging into deep, serious water, and it is too boring for the likes of this thread.

Meh. World domination is so last millennium.

I expect nothing less than my own conquest of the entire Universe and beyond. :bolian:

And maybe to lose a few pounds, start a family, live the happy life, etc. etc.

Beat the LSATs?

Just did that (I hope).

But it does help to write down goals, so my next goal is to apply to law schools.

I've given some thoughts to the list, but not the details

First step is to get my scores back (three weeks wait), then I can make a list of schools potentially in the range of my GPA and LSAT score.

Then I'll download applications for these schools

Then I'll fill them out (the biggest step, since I'm a notorious procrastinator) and mail them in.

Then I can begin that waiting thing again.

I actually accomplished a goal that I set out to do back in May. OK, so basically I haven't had a bike (as in bicycle) for the last eight years. So I got a new bike back in May and I decided that I wanted to do 1000km (621 miles) this year. Well, today I accomplished that goal.

to become TSQ's right-hand man and major domo during her liberation of the world from the capitalist-imperialist zionist running dogs and their lackeys.

to get my SF anthology published.

Goal #1: Memorize The Sailor's Creed by tomorrow.
Goal #2: Memorize the first four general orders of a sentry by tomorrow.
Goal #3: Help my wife-unit find a new cook for the diner.

Nah, I plan to do it all from behind the scenes, like the guys in Foundation. I encourage you to work your feminine wiles on me, though.

My next goal is to do some writing tonight. Since I just wrote this out I'm counting that one as a success.

Short term, I just want to remember to go to bed at a decent hour tonight! :D

Medium term, I'm working towards getting out of my current job and moving to a portfolio career. I have just under another two years on my timetable for doing that (in terms of sorting out finance, opportunities and other logistics) and things are still moving according to plan for now. That's really my main life goal - working for myself in a range of different roles, with maybe just one or two days a week still in my current role working for someone else.

Long term, I wouldn't say definitely say no to a relationship, though I can't honestly say it's a priority at the moment. I guess it just depends who comes along. A politician wouldn't call this one a pledge or goal... more a vague "aspiration" with no timeline or spending commitment attached. :D
