Glee Photos for Magazine too Controversial?

Guys, I'm going to need the super high resolution digitals before I can comment. Someone provide me with them.

god, i love America... sometimes, Americans are such dicks, I'm glad to be British, so i can laugh instead of being ashamed of my countrymen.

"Let's see... I could spend the next hour writing a letter to my representative bringing attention to the sex slave trade, child pornography and prostitution, or this. Yeah, definitely this."

Forest for the trees and all.... these people need to choke on their own feces.
Agreed. People like this are just trying to grab headlines and not actually fighting the real problems. As for the photos, they're hot but nowhere near "over the line" compared to stuff I've seen in Maxim.

If you're going to call an entire country dicks that should be ashamed of themselves over a few people complaining, you might not want to write it like a nine-year-old.

i didn't say ALL americans are dicks.

and i said I would be ashamed of them if they were my countrymen.

i'm ashamed of my countrymen sometimes.

every fucking time i see the pricks running the government for a start...

I'd take Couric's objection a tad more seriously if the article wasn't preceded by an all-caps link saying SEE THE PHOTOS HERE!!... before reading an article on why doing so was wrong.

The pics aren't good - only Diana looks comfortable, but they're not 'controversial'.

I caught a couple minutes of the Today Show the other day when I first turned on my TV, and Kathie Lee was on a soapbox about this, whining about "Child molestion is a major problem and these types of pictures cater to mens' fantasies about young girls." She looked like she was about to cry. Gee, what's worse, a 22 year old in a cheerleader outfit or a bunch of ten-year-olds in a sweatshop? Yeah, I went there.

People are idiots when it comes to pedophilia.

Lusting after, masturbating to, leering at, or even sleeping with a teenage girl is NOT pedophilia.

Pedophiles, infact, want nothing to do with teenagers. Given that, you know, teenagers are not CHILDREN!!

And the girls in this magazine are 20-something year old WOMEN!

Yes but anyone under the age of 16 (in most places) is considered a child and therefor if you are 18 and you have sex with a 15 year old than you are going to jail. Pretty stupid.

They are 24.

Wow it's amazing how people can even begin to attach this to pedophilia.

I don't care about Glee at all but a short check reveals (as many have said here) that they are both in their mid to late 20s!

This is just another example of people and parents who want a totally sanitized world where they never have their kids ask uncomfortable questions like "What is sex?" because they saw it on TV/magazines/movies.

These magazines like GQ or whatever have always included seductive and provocative photos.. it's what sells and if i had kids i sure wouldn't leave those mags lying around. They are a level below Playboy but not by much these days so stop getting all fired up and do some active parenting.

Still. Not. Pedophillia. Illegal, yes. Statuatory Rape? Yes.

A mental sickness that causes you to be attracted to prepubescent child? No.

This is one of my pet peeves, too. The whole world does not have to be "family-friendly."

I'm reminded of some idiot on another message board who complained about an off-color joke on "Glee"--because "my kid was in the room."

So maybe turn the channel if you're that worried about it? Are tv writers and producers supposed to keep everything G-rated on the off chance that a toddler might wander by the tv at some point?

And then, of course, there was that relative of mine who took her family to New Orleans on vacation--and then complained that Bourbon Street was unsuitable for her kids. Well . . . d'uh. It's not supposed to be Disneyland. Some things--and places--are for grown-ups.

Of course not!

I mean, violence and guns are okay.

So this is a case of people crying out "Think of the children!" (Where is Mrs. Lovejoy?) Without, you know, parenting them themselves. A child isn't going to see the cover of this magazine or the pictures in it and be the least bit interested in it or even really understand what is going on about them or what it means. And if they do understand then their head is already filled with wank material.

Here you go.

I'm glad they are warning us about this important issue and protecting the children...by plastering these images across new services on TV and the Internet, the last place children will be able to view them.
