Just watched the finale and loved it. Glee really has a knack for the emotional sucker punches, the way LOST did, and I love it.

Also, there's token Asian guy and token Black guy whose first speaking parts were in the finale!
Incorrect. They've talked several times before (mostly Mike; Matt's spoken maybe three or four times).

I don't know, I watched the entire series over a couple of days so it's all a mush, but other than a few "Yeahs" and "Okays" I don't recall any significant lines from either character. They were basically glorified extras until their "confessions" or whatever you would call that scene near the end of the episode.

They are basically extras; they're there to fill out the Glee Club's required twelve members, and for their incredible dancing skills (incidentally, Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) dances with a poodle ).

Brittany and to a lesser extent Santana were also that originally (Santana, unlike the others, was cast with a bona fide actress/singer from the start, rather than a professional dancer like Heather Morris).

Oh yeah, although they claim to have expanded roles next year.
I just wanted to point out their existence. I think therefore I am or some such.

Just listening to some of the songs again, they really nailed the ending. Having Mr. Shue and Puck do Over the Rainbow was a really nice touch, and a great cover.

Aww, I just watched this and I liked it. Cute ending without forcing them to win, everything within the scope of the characters, I didn't hate the teacher in this ep and I liked the emotional stuff at the end. Oh, and the Journey numbers were awesome. Good stuff. :)

Would've been even better to me if I hadn't heard pretty much the same arrangement on America's Got Talent for the 10 minutes I watched it before Glee or the night before--whenever it was on.

And didn't someone do a similar arrangement on American Idol recently?

Well...I just finished watching the whole season. I didn't really get into the show until after the winter hiatus and I realize my mistake now.

The finale, especially Rachel and Finn's re-connection and the whole Don't Stop Believing finale really worked better having seen the events of the first half of the season.

It's funny...I still can't decide if I love or hate Sue Sylvester. She's really a dynamic character and you can see while she's all tough as nails, selfish and down right condescending and racist (I think the reporter's description of his first impression of her was an apt one) she also has a soft gooey center that really just wants to help the kids be their best. It shows in her interactions with her sister, too. I'd love to see her meet Greg House someday, see if they could out snark and out racist each other.

While I enjoyed ALL the songs throughout the whole season I think either Artie's Dream A Little Dream of Me or the finale's To Sir With Love were the most moving. They had real emotion behind them where the others maybe lacked a little. Maybe it's just the post finale high that's got me remembering it best.

Lastly...I'm glad there's another season of the show. I'd like to know what happens with Emma and whether she and Will can ever reconcile, they kind of ignored her after the Madonna episode. I'm also looking forward to seeing how Vocal Adrenaline handles losing it's star and director at the same time.

Anyway...it's a nice, feel good show. I'm looking forward to sharing it with my Mom when it comes out on DVD. She's getting bored of watching Supernatural with me, I think :)

Well, now that Fox is going back and reairing the season, I've decided to do the same and watch those repeat airings. Saw the director's pilot and it was incredible how much stuff was packed into that episode, like the name of the group "New Directions" and Rachel's two gay dads. I guess because I had seen the pilot with the whole Tweet-Peak (Man was that a dumb idea, but I do appreciate what Fox was trying to do) scroll, it took something away from the episode. Oh, and another thing I missed, Tina really did have a stutter. Was that only a one-off thing or when did she actually get better?

Tina's stutter was revealed to be fake. She faked a stutter a few years earlier to avoid giving an oral presentation in class and just continued to live the lie.
