Glee 1x11 Mattress

Starbreaker

Really 1x12. Just making sure you were paying attention ;)
No Poll

When the Glee Club is left out of the yearbook because of budget cuts, everyone seems to be relieved that they won’t have to suffer the ridicule of years past. Everyone except Rachel, that is, who wants her legacy cemented in print. Meanwhile, Quinn makes it her mission to be in the Cheerios yearbook photo, and Will and Terri’s relationship is shaken to its core
Featured Music:
Jump - Van Halen
Smile - Charlie Chaplin
Smile - Lily Allen

Isn't this actually 1x12?

God, I hope this is the beginning of the end for the Will/Terri/Fake Baby storyline. Annoying.

To talk about it? I don't like those polls anyway. People always just pick Excellent or Poor based on the phases of the moon anyway.

Great episode. I really hate Sue Sylvester though. What kind of high school club actually gets indirectly run by a cheerleading coach? :wtf:

Wasn't really a fan of any of the musical numbers in this one and the ep made me sad. They got more done plot-wise though, and I'm looking forward to next week's ep.

I was hoping the wife would get stabbed, no luck. :(

The music was poor, and that's all this show has. There are no like able characters because we don't know anything about the characters besides the stereotypes. What grades are the students in?

I actually thought this episode was a good one. I liked both "Smile" performances and the mattress ad was fun. I'm so glad the Terri debacle is out in the open now -- that was a great scene when Will found out and confronted her.

Sue is fun to watch, but I can't understand how someone like that can be on the staff! I half-expected Will to punch her out when she was getting in his face in the principals office! :D

Did they autotune Rachael's voice in this one. I'm on the first Smile performance and I've heard much better, especially from her. :wtf:

I'm pretty sure they autotune everything in this show, sadly.

And I was hoping Will would punch out Terri and Sue this episode. What bitches.

^I know they do it with Finn, but didn't notice it on Rachael until tonight.

Good episode, at least plot wise. Glad the fake baby storyline came to ahead and we can move forward. Looking forward to next week.

Any guesses as to what this show is going to be about after they go to sectionals? Nationals or state or something?

So, let's see:

We have Terri a) admit that she has been faking her pregnancy to keep her husband from leaving, b) admit that she was planning to pretend that Quinn's baby was actually her husband's kid, and (this is a big one, folks) c) claimed that their marriage depends upon her husband being unhappy.

OMG, Will, run the !@#$ away!!! :scream:

I was just so relieved that they treated the pregnancy revelation with complete seriousness. The guy who plays Will did a phenomenal job acting that scene. It blew me away.

That said, the show is really missing something, and I cannot put my finger on what it is. It has just enough heart and just enough good music to keep me watching week after week. But then after every episode, I kinda want 80% of my time back. I can't explain it.

Almost everything, one or two of the songs have sounded great, the rest are autotuned to such a level I actually roll my eyes.

Indeed...I was afraid it would be some goofy, sitcom-y revelation and when he threw that pad across the kitchen...yikes. It was gripping and yet somewhat satisfying on some level as well to see the character react in a manner similar to how I would expect someone to react when they found out that their harpy of a wife had been doing what Terri had been doing.

I just hope that the writers have the balls to keep them apart...I don't want a teary reunion in a couple of episodes...if they somehow stay together, they better show the Terri character work out some MAJOR personal changes.

I thought that the rest of the episode was OK, but the revelation scene just blew me away...
