As I recall (and it's been decades since I saw more than eight seconds of any incarnation of Bewitched; the most recent was turning OFF an inflight showing of the 2005 theatrical film, while flying home from a fall vacation, and I don't even remember where I was flying home from), Samantha's relatives were utterly contemptuous of "mortals" in general, and Darrin in particular. She was, as it were, the white sheep of the family.
As to "dirty minx" being a compliment, well, I can think of some particularly misogynistic Tea Party politicians who might consider it that, but . . . .
