I'm sure they aren't in the black but 40 million is coming, presumably, ftom Hollywood accountants, so grain of salt. They leaked a number as big as they could.

Yeah, #1 late night show. I hadn't heard about them losing that much money on it.

They are. Johnny Carson used to get on average about 11 mil viewers a night. Colbert struggles to get 2 mil. Gutfeld does nearly twice as much as Colbert but even his numbers are anemic to what Carson used to get. Jimmy Fallon gets slightly over a million. There are some youtube professional food channels that get more views on their videos than late night tv does now.
