Disney has been around for a literal century, so yeah, my money is on them. Carano is an idiot who forgot she was nothing more than a guest star on The Mandalorian, nor was she paying attention to the fact that she worked for the same company that fired Roseanne Barr, the actual star of her own show. She fucked around and found out and is now, to absolutely no one's surprise, playing the whiny "oppressed" victim. She's not.

Employment is a choice and employers aren't paying *anyone* to say "no" to them. Don't like the terms and conditions by which you are employed? Well good news! Somebody out there has terms and conditions you can agree with and you can go find them by choice or you can get promoted to customer. Literally none of this, none of it at all, should have to be explained to anyone over 20 years old.

She is perfectly free to keep making sub-SyFy level dreck for Lil' Ben Shapiro as they would fully support her shitty opinions.

You do realize Facsisism exalts nation above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader..
Which isn't the democrats that want a strong central government where typical republican want LESS government?

Pretty much Yes.. the way were were set up to begin with is tgat we have a Weak Federal government with most power in the states.

Your first sentence describes the modern GQP with their cult like obsession with TFG. Also, they're perfectly happy with "big government" as long as THEY are the "big government". Trying to explain "fascism" really doesn't mean anything in the face of the fact that the actual people sporting swastika's are voting Republican. That's not really open for debate. They sure as shit aren't voting for those "woke" DEI Dems with their inclusivity towards women, people of color and LGTBQ+ folks now are they? (Narrator: They aren't)

I initially typed out more to that, but I don't want to be the one that causes the thread to be locked, so I'm just gonna leave that right there. I'll wait and see how this Carano thing moves forward before commenting further as I think I've said about all I can on that subject.

Elon is against Jews. So anyone who speaks out against Jews is his friend. Elon himself is in deep shit on his own post on Jews, and the next day, so many sponsors, such as IBM walks out immediately.
 
here's my 2 cents worth: in an episode w/ Bill Maher at Real Time w/ Bill Maher, he said in TopGun Marvick, Tom Cruise refers to the enemy as "The Enemy" w/o mention whether they are Russian, Communist china etc. That's the culture today, that no actor will piss off any race, group, gender etc. So no 1 actor will step on the toes of any group, people, countries etc.

Disney, who pays the bill , also cannot afford the above. So while Gina is fully entitles to freedom of speech, it's rare to have any actor / actress who come out and say he / she doesn't support a certain group, for e.g., like Kevin Hart speaks out against gay / lesbian.

So Disney has no choice but to block her from part of star wars in the future. And if she keeps this up, she cannot get any actor job, unless she sides w/ producers that are also against those groups, such as these actors / actresses:

No, being completely non-specific about who the enemy was is what the original Top Gun did, too. To say it's limited today is to miss the point entirely.

I think more specifically in this case, Elon's full-throated support of Carano isn't because of her anti-Semitic views, but rather that his ex, Grimes, left him for Chelsea Manning, a transgender woman. His mind has been utterly broken on transgender issues ever since then, and since Carano doubled-down on her hatred of LGBTQ+ people just before getting fired, Musk sees Carano as a hero to be championed.

Partialy true, Yes, they done the 2/3rd's thing to get the south into the union, but its not why it was a weak Federal system. Untill about eh 1900 or so, there was no real means of communication that allowed a federal system to be on top of things 100's to 1000's of miles away, it was always old news. So it was mainly local and state systems that ruled the day to day.

Going to Star Trek for an example, teh Federation almost HAS to be a weak Federal system due to the the Time it takes to communicate and travel the length and breath of the federation proper. Individual planets rule themselves, with maybe something like a federation ambasador/offical in bigger planets.

It was only with Woodrow Wilson did the Fed start becoming all encompasing.
I'd rather have a local or State goverment dealing with local and state issues than someone 100's or 1000's of miles away dicating from on high.

The Federation is more like the UN than the US Congress.

The Federation commands Star Fleet and "politely" asks it's member worlds to co-operate towards the common good.
