GIJoe: Resolute debuts today!

I've been lurking and haven't seen a thread for this yet... but the Warren Ellis penned GIJoe animated series debuts today on AdultSwim.com in just over 18 minutes.

Is anyone else looking forward to this?

While I'm not crazy about the movie designs or the fact that Stephen Sommers is NOT in my top 1,000 choices to direct the film, I'm actually really excited about the possibility of this new mini-series!

Also, Hasbro did launch the official Resolute website- http://www.GIJoeResolute.com . Honestly, it's like being a kid in the 80's all over again. I've already got the DVR set to record the full series when it airs on TOON next week.

I had no clue that even existed, but it was pretty kickass. It's nice to know that someone out there has a fucking clue what Cobra Commander looks like.
 
Wait a minute, machine guns, grenades, and swords can kill people? WTF? It's like everything I was taught as a child was a lie.

I hadn't heard of this either, but that was pretty damn cool. Thanks for the heads up and the links. :techman:

^If only they could do this with ''Wolverine & the x-men'' I'd LOVE to see some blood ''n'' guts and KILLING on that show!:(
 
Where the hell did that come from? Comes out of nowhere and is pretty damn good. If only GI Joe had been like that when I was a kid...
 
well its' not the WHOLE THING:

they put the first few minutes on their website as a teaser to boost interest; which frankly I think was a good idea.
 
Wow. Lots of people die. A stark contrast to the original series. I like it.

But why does Cobra Commander care for money?

that's why wolvercrap is so damned lame! it's about as lame as a gun fight with no one being hit with bullets lol. think baseball but no balls are being hit. i have no idea why this stupid char keeps getting facetime >_<
 
Looks great, but not one for the kiddies. Which is ironic, considering I just got my six year old into watching the old 80s Joe toons.

Since I live in Canada and therefore can't view videos on the adultswim domain, I had to resort to YouTube. If the titles on YouTube are to be believed, then there will be ten parts.

I watched the first episode online. Very impressive! Although I miss Chris Latta as Cobra Commander, the new voice actor does an admirable job being much darker and more sinister than the '80s voice, with enough Latta-like characteristics to satisfy the nostalgic viewer.
