Yeah, I just watched The Corbomite Maneuver last night and good ol' Spock is shouting all over the place but he tells Mr. Bailey that there's no need to raise his voice.
Oh yes. It was the first Trek movie I saw as I was growing up. I try to watch it at least once a year. It's what got me started in terms of watching Star Trek.
Yeah, much of what the Doctor and Data did was hilarious. One of my favorite Data bits was in "Loud as a Whisper" when Data was giving an example of the sign language he'd learned. DATA: Captain, I have reviewed and stored five distinct signing languages. Here is an example of the first. This is blue. This is a blue ocean. This is a blue ocean at sunset. This is two people walking along the beach by a blue ocean at sunset. This is two happy people in love walking along the beach by a blue ocean at sunset. This is two people PICARD: Enough. Let's talk to Riva. http://www.chakoteya.net/NextGen/132.htm
I'd like to see him invited to the local poker evenings aboard Enterprise D. Spock is still around in the 24th century. I'm wondering what he thinks about gambling. The last one to join the party was Picard. He should also be included. Also Worf. Spock handles Klingons very well.
Data's eulogy for Ira Graves in The Schizoid Man is priceless. "I can safely say, that to know him, was to love him. And to love him, was to know him... Those who knew him, loved him, while those who did not know him, loved him from afar."
“Nobody behaved like that! Well, except for Mr. Paris.” “They’re triplets, you know.” (raunchy smirk). Tuvok, Janeway’s “husband”. VOY: “Message in a Bottle”. “It’s a faaake!” Who gets the references?
That time on VOYAGER when Seven announced that "there is no one on Deck 6, Level B" who did not know when Paris and Torres were having sexual intercourse. (Or words to that effect. Too lazy to look up the exact location of their quarters.)
