News Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire anticipation thread

I just looked through her credits and Wikipedia and I see what you mean. Along with Carole Danvers she was also Young Tonya Harding in I,Tonya, Young Daphne in Scoob!, Young Caroline in 2 episodes of The Vampire Diaries, Young Emma in 4 episodes of Once Upon a Time, and Young Sabrina in an episode of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

My local cinema only has the German dub on its schedule. You know what Sony movie's English language version they have scheduled this week? Madame Web. FFS!

I keep getting her confused with the girl who kind of looks like her in "Better Things."

Wow, that really sucks.

I rewatched Afterlife last night and it continues to be such a joy. I'm seeing Frozen Empire on Saturday on IMAX and I'm so excited.

The Hollywood Reporter accidentally posted early. I'm gonna post the bit that leaked in the spoiler thread but it was generally positive, but noted it is a nostalgia fest again.

Edited: Embargo is lifted and it is not good. 45% RT, 47 Metacritic....

IGN's Tom Jorgensen gave it a 4/10,
His verdict:
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire races onto thin ice overburdened with disparate, uninspired ideas – and no one behind or in front of the camera quite knows what to do once the movie’s flailing in the water. The new generation of Ghostbusters have to give up too much time to an overcomplicated plot – time that could’ve been used to embellish the bedrock elements of comedy-horror that the 1984 original deployed so well. If all you need to feel good about busting is ghosts, jumpsuits, and proton packs, you may have some fun, but Frozen Empire makes one thing clear: the franchise should be put in cold storage until someone can figure out how to do justice to the central concept without Murray, Aykroyd, Hudson, and Potts dropping by to prevent mass hysteria.

Afterlife scored fairly poorly on both as well. Not saying the new one is good, but I won't be using either of them to pre-judge it. :)
Indeed. I'm fully aware that I'm probably an outlier in regards to Aferlife, even among those who did enjoy it, so I'm sure I'm going to at least enjoy Frozen Empire.

Afterlife scored 65% on RT - a full twenty points higher. That's not a similar score.
