Ghostbusters 2016: Talk about the movie(s).

(Don't judge me.)

I don't have room to judge. I've bought TOS and the TOS films numerous times on various formats. I also have bought both Abrams films in their stand alone releases, then bought the Star Trek Compendium when it came out.

I don't see any VHS or Laserdisc there, so I'll only judge you a little bit. ;)

The VHS is in one of the boxes in the basement I haven't unpacked since we moved, but I'm pretty sure my wife wouldn't object to it being left there for eternity as opposed to taking up space in the living room.

And as for why I have three Blu-rays -- the 2009 release had terrible picture quality (the color timing is completely destroyed) but excellent features, the 2013 4K release had much better picture but zero features, and the 2014 re-release has the best picture of all the Blu-rays (not as good as the 1999 DVD, but close) and some additional features.

By the way, I love the fact that we're referring to the Ghostbusters as first responders. Yeah, I know they're a business, but they're also heroes out for the public safety. If there's a fire, you get firefighters. A medical emergency means getting EMTs. And if there's something strange in the neighborhood, well, you know how that goes. Maybe down the line, 911 would one day call them for you.

Which is why in the recent comic book and video game, the original male Ghostbusters were now government funded, IIRC.

Love what I've seen so far but to be honest I'm mortified by the prospect of no traps. That's a mistake, I think.

Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center patients got a huge surprise today when Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones came to visit! Thank you for taking the time out of filming today to put a big smile on our patients faces! ‪#‎WhoYouGonnaCall‬ ‪#‎Ghostbusters‬

In costume...
I'm liking those yellow glasses Kate wears...

Kids: "Who the hell are you?"
GBs: "We're from that movie that hasn't come out yet!"
Kids: "Wait, what?"

The reflective nature of those stripes really comes out in those photos. No questioning that they are safety stripes.

Man, can't ignore that poor kid in the last pic when you view full size.:(

Is it me or does the proton pack nozzle look awkward to hold?

How sad. They all seem to be having no trouble ignoring that kid.

File this under the you sick f*** category, but I'm reminded of this.

It's great to see them doing this, but I have a feeling this one probably didn't do much for the younger kids. Older kids and the parents probably got more out of it.

That last picture is definitely sad. You'd think they could have at least gone and stood over by the chair when they took the picture.

The little girl looks pretty out of it. They may have disturbed her if they had gotten any closer.

Context matters here and none of us know any of it, really.

They could've taken pictures with her before...this could be a picture taken while she was in the middle of blinking or something (we've all had that)...could be anything.
