Ghosbusters Vs The Blair Witch Teaser

I've been working on and off on this project for at least nine years...since the Blair Witch Project came out in the summer of 1999. I thought it would be very cool if the Ghosbusters took on the Blair Witch in the reality of the two franchises, so the Blair Witch Project documentary actually was real and Heather, Josh, and Mike were really killed by something in the woods of Burketsville, Maryland.

In the verge of a new millenium the Real Ghostbusters are about to confront their most myseterious challenge yet, that of the infamous Blair Witch, suppossedly responsible for dozens of deaths in the woods of Burketsville, Maryland. Will the mysterious appraiation claim more victims in the form of our four heroes or will the Ghostbusters finally stop this ghastly creature? Who You Gonna Call?


I'm finished the first chapter, since I like to handwrite everything first, it will probably take me a month to complete the story and then another month before I finish typing it. This should be up online close to Halloween...since this takes place in the year 1999, nine years from Ghostbusters II, expect some surprises and the return of some of the characters from the movie. I'm using this as a means to set up the events for my Ghostbusters III fan script...

At first blush… these two franchises seem somewhat incompatible in their overall ‘moods.’ One is a nail-biting horror film, the other a light supernatural comedy.

Nonetheless, I’ll give it a read.

Yeah that is what I thought at first two...but then I started thinking that you could combine the two to create something really special, a pyschological thriller that also has bits of comedy thrown in. There will be the traditional humor that one would expect from the guys, Peter, especially but this will be a serious piece as well. The big question is going to be who will survive this encounter? Ghostbusters III might be slightly different after the case of the Blair Witch.

Putting a decent alien in the mix might help the plot be more sci-fi, then not?
