The Franklin Institute is looking for couples whose dream would be to get married or renew vows on the bridge of the Enterprise inside STAR TREK: THE EXHIBITION. The winning couple – determined by online public vote – will plan a ceremony aboard the bridge in the Exhibition and a reception inside The Franklin Institute!


The STAR TREK: THE EXHIBITION Wedding Package includes exclusive use of the Exhibition for one hour for the ceremony and private use of reserved space inside The Franklin Institute for a four hour reception for up to 100 guests, as well as two nights’ accommodations for the couple at a nearby hotel.

When my wife and I were engaged I mentioned this... I hope to never receive that lOOk again. Pretty sure she would have left me in a heartbeat... or at least resented me for all time.

Girls imagine a church wedding with all the frilly trimmings... the bridge of the Enterpeise-D is not high on their list...

Growing up in Las Vegas I was a cast member at the Experience when it opened many moons ago (closed now sniff...) I saw people get married on the bridge. I was just as much a trek nut as I am now (worse now actually) and I said to meself...wouldnt it be nice to meet a girl that would do that.

Many years later I actually have met that girl...

I just mentioned this to my girlfriend. She didn't say anything, except putting an extra mattress on the floor. I wonder what she meant by that.

My husband and i talked about doing this for years. From what i can remember, when the STE was open, you could book it (as M. Robison said) ..i think it was like $1000? to do it.

Anyway, we talked about it, saying we'd renew our vows on our 25th wedding anniversary. Since we are both major procrastinators we never did it. Next year will be our 30th (jeez. thats like, a lifetime!).... how i wish we had done it!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the woman I'm seeing wouldn't be particularly keyed up about something like this.

It's one thing to get married in Vegas by the Easter Bunny while dressed as a Klingon with Elvis as your bestman and your bride's maids being dressed as Wonder Woman, Catwoman and the Powder Puff Girls, but that? That's just weird.
