Now that we have both Bernd Perplies and Christian Humberg onboard, the mods can change their title to Writer, right?

Yep. I hope so. Titles like cadet and ensign would be beneath them.... ;)

Bernd and Christian should request it from T'Bonz (head board admin) - although since they're both new to the board, they probably don't have the PM facility.

So Bernd, Christian - if you would like a special title of "Author" or "Writer" (or something like that to your choice), please post here and I'll send the request to T'Bonz.

Welcome to the Trek Lit forum - I look forward to seeing you both here a lot discussing these and future novels :bolian:

"Writer" is what most of the other authors use here, right? That would be perfectly fine. :)

I was checking Trek Collective and saw this news. I think this is very cool. Is it possible that information will be released about the Prometheus crew and other characters? I was curious about character profiles.

It is a little bit too early for this kind of information (especially since the novels still have to be translated and then approved by CBS/Paramount). But rest assured, that we have some behind-the-scenes articles planned, so you will have the opportunity to meet the Prometheus crew in advance of the book release.

What are the chance that this trilogy will get an English language release?
I think it's great that we're getting Trek stories now internationally, I just want to be able to read them!
I'd also think that getting sales from English readers would make this project more profitable and thus allow more German and other non English language novels written.

I hope so and considering that the stories have to be translated for approval to be released I don't see why they couldn't.

I don't feel like searching the thread for the post, but I'm pretty sure there was a post earlier that said they were possibly going to be releasing English language e-book versions.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was in there somewhere. From one of the authors, IIRC.

I would imagine if a print edition did occur of the English translation it would likely be a trade paperback anthology. Or maybe they could release the three novels separate, either to give Pocket a break or if another situation like 2010 happened again where novels are pulled from the lineup creating a gap in the schedule.
