German covers of "Zero Sum Game" and "Seize the Fire"

I like these a LOT better... the US covers for both of these are way too dull, imho.

these covers are awesome. the pictures join together. The German company make much more of an effort than Pocket Books

Not bad overall... but why does Ezri look so scared and vulnerable, like an ingenue in a slasher film? Not the kind of expression I associate with a starship captain.

Yeah, that's the only problem I have with that cover. The other one is great as is.

I'm confused. I thought it was announced a few weeks back that Cross Cult were suspending their entire Star Trek line due to inadequate sales? Or did I dream that?

I like these, although I do agree the pose for Ezri is a little odd.

It's a little thing, but I think Bashir's beard looks so much better here than it did on the American cover. :ouch:

^ Funny you should say that, since Bashir's "beard" on the German cover barely qualifies as stubble, and the beard added to his face on the original cover was based on the one Alexander Siddig himself grew and wore in the years after Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

I figured as much. It just looked odd to me on the English cover. Can't really explain why. Sometimes things just look "off."

I'll rank the US and German versions of the Zero Sum Game cover as equel, but the US version of Seize The Fire was less then impressive, so this is a very welcome version. Although, perhaps my opinion is clouded in that I felt Seize The Fire was one of the worst novels of the last few years.

That was just for ENT novels.

Yes, as Sci said only ENT and Starfleet Academy were put on Hiatus. From what I have gathered from posts by CC representatives Starfleet Academy probably will come back around the release of the next film, though, Enterprise's return is less likely since the numbers were really abysmal.

The four covers of the initial batch of TP novels will result in one big picture BTW. Here are the first two put together.

Would be neat if they can work the covers of the new and future TP novels in with the original four to continue the mural, as they are translated.

Oh man, look at those beautifully coordinated spines. Someone at CrossCult should get a medal. The same spine design on two sequential books in the same series! Unheard of!
