I just thought I'd take this moment to let everyone know that George Takei is going to be at the Fargo Entertainment Expo this October 31 – November 2 in Fargo, ND.
For those of you unfamiliar with this convention, The Fargo Entertainment Expo (formally known as ValleyCon) is a big event that features the best in film and television, videogames, sports and leisure, home entertainment and technology, comics, books, toys and arts. Think mini-ComicCon!
The Fargo Entertainment Expo has something for everyone and this year's featured guest will be George Takei. This is a great opportunity to actually talk with the stars instead of being just another number in a long line of people waiting for autographs.
I've been to this con a few times now and every time I've had a blast! The people at the convention are extremely nice, and the locals are helpful and friendly. Also, this is the only con I have been to where you can actually hang out with the guests and have a couple of drinks.[/FONT]
[FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Also, if you need a hotel room, I would highly recommend staying at the Doublewood. The Doublewood will be hosting the convention, Fan party rooms, RPG games, and video games throughout the day. Just make sure you tell them you are booking your room for ValleyCon to receive a discount on the room. They are giving people discounts for those who plan to run a party room this year.[/FONT][FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']
