I remember these before the Star Trek movies on VHS that we would rent as a kid. I'd get all excited to see the Bridge and hear the music - but it was just a dumb ad.

I remember that ad. I used quite a few of those coupons in my day.
George has always been a promoter of all things Trek. IMHO, he has done more on screen and off to benefit Trek and its fans than most.

Heh, I remember when I first saw that ad on some video I got as a kid. Being the stupid kid I was, I was confused as to why they had Sulu on the bridge of the Enterprise D. Jeez, I was stupid as a kid.

With most people it would be a no brainer. But there are a few people out there where you need to explain things to them. Though usually its need to be explained to them sloooooooooooooooooooowly and over and over and over, before they get it.
