George Takei and Katee Sackhoff on TBBT

Agreed on the need for toning down Sheldon a bit.. he is hilarious but i don't watch the Sheldon show but TBBT so having the others a bit of a spotlight is cool too.

This season was ok so far.. i was floored by Howard "using" the robot arm (not so much the joke itself as that could have been seen from a mile away knowing Howard but his delivery of the lines and acting it out) but it has mellowed out a bit.

To be honest that's expected.. i can't recall a single show that hasn't lost some of its steam come season 3 and on. The trick is to rebound and get to a comfortable level and i think TBBT manages that just fine.

And bonus for returning Bernadette.. i liked her character and the actress is cute as hell (loved her part in True Blood too).

Well my opinion on the show is that when it premiered it was a show about geeks where at times they could be the punch-line, but also for 'geeks' watching the show they could laugh at things knowing the 'joke' was going over the head of people tuning in just to poke fun at geeks.

I think as the show has gone along and attracted more viewers it's become much more of a lampooning of geeks in general and rather than be a part of the joke or make jokes they themselves are the joke 90% of the time.

And now, my esteemed colleague will take the floor.

I do admit that we've seen less hyper-science based jokes, but it's not like they've quit on it at all. The right joke may not have hit them yet to get the ball bouncing again.

Howard + Starbuck + Sulu made for some great TV. I love this show. I'm liking this season better than last actually, but I can see the whole making the show all about Sheldon would be a really bad idea. But I do dig Shamy.

My wife tells me she married a Leonard. Although I only have a Master's degree. I didn't finish the Physics PhD.

The only bits I think they take too far that it's unfunny is when Sheldon goes nuts at a conference or something. It's funny, but it's like the writers don't know how to end the bit, so Sheldon ends up without his pants or something and then they laugh at it on youtube. Meh.

Still, much much much more good on this show than bad. I love hitting pause and identifying all the pics and toys on the set.

The best part of the show is the fine print on the producer's splash page at the end of each episode. He puts some hilarious stuff up there. Pause it and read if you don't believe me.

Amusing fact is that the props and wardrobe woman on the show (forgot her name) is shopping heavily during Comic Con to outfit the show with new stuff.. kinda awesome to shop an the mecca that is all geekdom for a show about geeks ;)
