Geordi Laforge episode crawl

I created this account specifically for getting some help. I am to do a presentation in the coming weeks partly on why I chose to become an electrical engineer. One of my key inspirations was watching TNG as a kid and specifically levar Burton's role as Geordi.

To help explain to people who haven't seen a single episode of star trek I need to find an episode where Geordi does his usual thing - rewrite subroutines, modify the deflector dish, reroute somethings!

The aim is to show how his ingenuity and quick thinking always saved the day (from my point of view). I've only gone through the series 3 times so I can't think of an episode from memory that has a 15sec clip to perfectly sum up exactly what I'm referring to.

Can someone recommend a specific episode that I can use a clip to help explain myself to those not already bin the know?

I'm not into the engineering stuff. Most people I know about considered Scotty as idol and mentioned him regarding their decision to become an engineer. I would recommend relics: Scotty survived in the pattern buffers. Geordi and Scotty work together to solve the Dyson Sphere problem. Two generations of engineers meet each other. Great episode IMO.

I like Galaxy's Child, when Geordi is doing a lot of analyzing, spitballing, arguing and using lateral thinking to rescue the ship - with the help of a hologram that's easy on the eyes.

Samaritan Snare where he creatively helps the Pakleds then they turn on him has a lot of analysis quick thinking in it.

In 'Galaxy's Child' it is actually Leah Brahms.

In 'Booby Trap', Geordi works with before mentioned hologram to release the Enterprise from an ancient trap that caught them, just like it caught the ship they were investigating.

Hmm, fifteen seconds makes it tough.

Apart from possibly using an excerpt from any of the excellent suggestions above, I also like the scene in Insurrection when Geordi comes up with a plan to deal with the subspace tear. Mostly because when Riker says to do it, Geordi replies that he just did. (Showing that he'll make the call if timing is critical.)

I agree, "Booby Trap" is a good episode with a lot of "engineering stuff" in it between techno-babble and seeing Geordi problem solving and trying to find a solution to their problem.

Would Geordi's idea in "Cause and Effect" to give Data information in the next time loop, count?

How about Thine Own Self where Troi orders him to his death to save the Enterprise in the holodeck program? Okay, maybe that could be a bit of comic relief for describing the extreme downside of engineering.
