Geordi La Forge forgetful?

I am Q

Cadet
Newbie
So I know that writers do have so much on their plate week to week with almost any tv show out there so things will be overlooked sometimes but this I found very funny especially how close these episodes were to each other (4 episodes apart) although separated by a seasons end and another beginning.

Ok so take season 5 ep 24 The Next Phase. La Forge and Ro are in a transporter accident in which they end up cloaked and out of phase with the rest of their surroundings, they are even pronounced dead while Ro is standing right next to Dr. Crusher while she is making out the death certificates. You might even say La Forge would even rank this experience as something strange or out of the ordinary that has happened to him during transport. Ok now...

4 episodes later: season 6 ep 2 Realm of Fear watch from time index 15:24 to 15:38.

Also I may add that, this question from Lt. Barclay to La Forge would seem to be out of place as I would assume Barclay was around and onboard the Enterprise when the incident happened to Ro and La Forge.

Anyways I got a hoot out of it.
This is my first post. Sorry if it was too long. Hope you got a kick out of it too!

Transcripts.

Transcripting episodes yourself is a drudge.

:)

The only thing worse is doing closed captioning in real time, circa 1995 before computers did it. Unless this was early on in computer transcription. It actually made "Jerry Springer" worth watching as that's the show that got the highest quantity of unintentionally amusing CC transcription errors... :D

To be fair on the writers they were doing 26 episodes a year and mistakes/contradictions were always going to happen. On the other hand it's fun to check out some of the videos of compilations of different episodes contradicting each other.

First, welcome to the board. I find this post a bit...ambiguous. Can you please say what was said in that conversation between Barclay and Geordi in Realm of Fear. Not everybody has the ability to check scripts, the TNG dvds or Netflix at a moment's whim. Though I will check in a moment.

Alright, I just watched that scene. I find nothing wrong with that. People ask questions like that all the time. I think you are overthinking this.

Also, several months has passed. Barclay can be self-centric and self-absorbed when faced with one of his phobias or other stressors.

CC and Subtitles are still off. I also like how the subtitles sometimes would have the "Dr. Zimmerman:" whenever the doc is speaking off screen on Voyager

As a person who relies heavily on CC.
Most of the time it sucks the royal big one from hell.
"Cruz are helping to clean up" on of my favorites.
Forget about traffic updates as almost every street is written wrong.

My other favorite is " whenallofthewordsare onelongword"
Or ;"w he nth e swords a respaced incorrect ly"
Welcome to my hell.
Or when the letters to each word are present, but in a sort of random order.

Nah, Must have been a Monday when the error occurred as the continuity person doesn't start their working week until Tuesday. ;)

CHEKOV: How big is your writing staff?

RICK BERMAN: The writing staff ...doesn't arrive 'til Tuesday.

CHEKOV: (swears in Russian) (to journalists) You and you and you. You've just become continuity girls. Let's go.

I think it's Data and Worf who are forgetful...
