This week's choice, by suggestion, is Eric Bana. This 6' 3" actor's most famous genre role to date has been the title role in 2003's The Hulk, but he also has two notable genre films still currently in production: The Time Traveler's Wife and Star Trek.

Bana, an Australian native, is the son of a Croatia father and a German mother. This talented dramatic actor started his career in comedy, doing impressions and stand-up. He eventually made his way to TV programs such as "Tonight Live" and "Full Frontal." He even had his own comedy series, "The Eric Bana Show," which ran from 1996 to 1997.

He landed his first film role in The Castle, but first grabbed the attention of critics by playing the famous underground figure, Chopper. That role won him his first Australian Film Institute Award. The acclaim led to him being cast in Black Hawk Down, The Hulk, and then Troy. In 2005, Speilberg cast him as the lead in the political drama, Munich. In 2007, he made the film Romulus, My Father, which earned him his Australian Film Institute Award for Best Actor.

Bana is an advocate for the Mental Illness Fellowship, which works to increase the awareness of mental illness in Australia. In 2004, he appeared in several high profile advertisements for the fellowship. He was also choosen by Empire Magazine as one of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars in the world (#61) 2007.

I think I'll give him a thumbs-up, myself.

He was freakin' brilliant in Munich. Plus, that last picture makes me weak in the knees. :D

I was thinking as I was scrolling down, I need a shirtless shot to bump him into the thumbs up category. And there it was! :techman:

Second shot from the bottom in the duck egg-blue shirt works. I think he's better in moving images, I don't think stills do him justice. I'm going to give him a thumbs up because my memory tells me he's hunky-a-licious (I'm sorry, I don't know where I get 'em from) even if the stills aren't doing in it for me.

Looks like a regular guy. Good looking enough, but not exactly a Hunk. Sideways, I guess.

He is sexy and pretty damned buffed but like Tulin I still see parts of his old sketch comedy characters in him at different points.
