was just thinking about how is similar Generations is to InfinityWar/Endgame - the plot with a wounded villain successfully carrying out his universe ending plan despite the main characters desperate attempts and then
so Generations was along the right lines for a major event crossover like MCU pulled off, but if they'd just managed to take abit longer after AGT to refine it and incorporate TOS cast/Ent-A (at least in the opening - with maybe 24th century Spock for later too) and rethought Kirks nexus stuff (Picard meeting Kirk on the Ent-A? revisiting scenes from TOS movies?), and the time travel (at least so Kirk could be on the Ent D at some point) and a better more meaningful Kirk death .. maybe it'd have been great like a 'Star Trek InfinityWar/Endgame' but 1 movie
also noticed abit of STIV (time'heist'), FC and ST09 (Borg Queen/Nero/Thanos) but Generations most of all
the time travel reset/sacrifice of the iconic lead

), he suggested a rewrite but it was refused so he walked, but it occurs to me the answer was to bring 24th century Spock into the picture -- he was, after all, already established. Maybe make him someone who has spent a century studying the Nexus and truly believes Kirk not to be dead. In this way, he acts as the critical pivot that combines the 23rd and 24th century parts of the movie, and facilitates Kirk's return. Maybe Soren is therefore a nemesis of Spock's, someone who stole Spock's research and is using it nefariously.
