General Trek Questions and Observations

Pretty sure Season 1 of TNG was the first time Trek made communicators wearable insignia. In TMP they used wrist communicators, but Starfleet communicators were handheld flip-open devices from "The Cage(TOS)" straight through to Star Trek III (the ones seen in TVH were Klingon communicators).

Got a question!!
A gazillion years ago, when the internet was but a infant, I used to modem into BBS. My favorite one was a BBS called NCC 1701 BBS. Anyone remember that? I was doing a search for that and this page popped up. I love it here.
I remember dialing into BBSs, but not that one. Do you remember where it was? In those days there were long distance charges outside of a small local area.

Well, I meant Starfleet. But good catch and point!

Well, first you asked ST: TNG[, now it's Starfleet. The answer is different for both.

If we go with the second one, the evolution in ensignia becomes comm badges happened from the Enterprise B to C, as the red film uniforms now have communication comm badges but still look like the film pins.
