General Trek Questions and Observations

I thought it was Voyager-A,., but I like believing it was ANY Enterprise-D !!!

SO many good lines in Star Trek, having to do with..."...whales, aboard..."!!!

^ I believe it was the alternate Enterprise-D in "Yesterday's Enterprise"

(Guinan's clothes are different, the place is noisy and very busy)
CREWMAN [OC]: Now hear this. Fleet formation briefing in main war room at fifteen hundred hours. Doctor Joshua Campbell, report to Cetacean Ops. Ensign Toms, please freport to Combat Information Centre. Ensign Thomas to CIC.
GUINAN: This isn't right. It's changed.

Galaxy-class
In the 2360s, the Galaxy-class USS Enterprise-D housed Tursiops crewmembers. Their designated facility was marked next to one of the many onboard holodeck facilities. (TNG: "We'll Always Have Paris", TNG: "The Perfect Mate")

Learned only tonight that 9/11 happened during production of the ENT episode "Civilization," the one showing us what a Malurian (originally referenced in TOS) looked like. Co-writer Mike Sussman feels that the production direction of Enterprise forever changed after September 11th.

A great many series had their direction changed, in some cases drastically.

Touched by an Angel, was one such.

You think it easy to come up with a script for a show like that after an event like that?

Random question: How did Dexter Remmick's torso even have enough room for such a huge parasite? It seems like there should have been a noticeable bulge on his shirt.

Shhhh!
Not so loud.

He was a walking corpse, the two cites(parasites), were eating him alive.
I assumed a one or more of something similar:

A. The queen parasite was suddenly gorging itself on Remmick's body for extra nutrients.
B. Or the queen parasite was inflating Remmick's host body as a kind of threat display to intimidate its opponents, like a cobra flaring its hood.
C. Or more horrifically, the queen parasite was preparing to spawn fresh baby parasites to take down Picard and Riker.

'm honestly surprised why NONE of the episodes deals with this
This is from a few weeks ago, can you tell us (or just me) what you're responding to? I avoid cookies whenever I can and did not want to download cookies just to see what you were responding too.

Thanks.
