General Trek Questions and Observations

I can give you a whole top ten:

TOS - The City on the Edge of Forever
TNG - Yesterday's Enterprise
DS9 - Visionary, Children of Time, Trials and Tribble-ations
Voyager - Future's End, Year of Hell.
Enterprise - Twilight, In a Mirror, Darkly

But my favourite Star Trek time travel episode is... Discovery's Such Sweet Sorrow. It's got that Kelvin Timeline energy where it makes no sense if I stop to think about any of it for a moment, but it doesn't stop for a moment so I got swept along with it to the end. You could tear the story apart with minimal effort, and I have, but I love it unironically.

I really can't stand "The Visitor." It's grating on pretty much every level.

I think The Visitor is pretty good, but not truly great. It pushes all the correct buttons, tugs at the right heartstrings, but isn't revolutionary or perspective-changing. And emotion alone isn't sufficient in my book to warrant a stellar rating.

Plus for good writing, minus for time travel yet again.

The Butterfly Effect is disabled in Trek, so time travel can be fun.

I wonder if you can predestination paradox... Bashir certainly thought it was possible in "Trials".
