Geek out Smallville moment!!

Clark is commuting from Smallville to Metropolis daily, living at the farm while working at the Planet.

Thank God he has super-speed!

Looking very much forward to Legion. Not looking forward to a bunch of new characters telling Clark how important he'll be and Clark doing his best to dispute that.

Lois, Chloe & Jimmy all seem to be living above the Talon (apparntly)

So where is the Isis Foundation located at? Metro or Smallville?
pretty sure Isis is in Metropolis.

I can believe Clark staying in Smallville, but the rest of them, no way Jimmy would leave the city, and Lois isnt even a Smallville native.

Also Tess is at the Luthor Mansion, Oliver seems to live out his plane.

^

Yeah, you gotta love Ollie acting like the billionaire Haddon from Contact.

Haddon is one of my all-time favorite characters! And yes, I had made that connection some time back myself. :)

"Why buy ONE when you can get TWO at TWICE the price? Wanna take a ride?" :techman: :techman: :techman: I swear Haddon had the Death Star contract during the OT! :D

Contact is one of my all-time favorite films. Even after ten years, it holds up quite well, and remains one of Jodie Foster's best roles. John Hurt was fabulous as Haddon, quite the quirky, wealthy eccentric.

I bet Ollie has a Blu-Ray copy of the movie on his plane!

I want to eat a banana in orbit! ;)

I just re-watched CONTACT about a week or two back...god, what a movie. The book was "okay", but the filmmaking process really forced them to distill it down to its basics...and DAMN if Zemeckis and company didn't capture the essence I felt Sagan was going for! (I love the commentary track, btw.)

I wonder how long it'll be until that's an issue. Lois said in an recent episode that Clark drives like a grandma (and that it's a two hour drive to Smallville).

Then again I have a Professor who lives three hours away from the university and commutes every morning (they asked her if she wanted to do online classes and she refuses).

^ Never going to happen not because of the films but because Welling has said he refuses to wear the costume and has veto power over his clothing on the show. He talked about it in an interview with Carson Daly a few years ago.
would he be ok with wearing the flight ring?

You know, between Streaky the Super-Cat, Comet the Super-Horse, Krypto the Super-Dog, Ace the Bat-Hound, and Chameleon Boy's pet Proty (and its successor, the imaginatively named Proty II), that's not such a big stretch...

You left out Beppo the Super-Monkey!

You know, it's the weirdest thing: I fully intended to include Beppo the Super-Monkey, I meant to type "Beppo the Super-Monkey," and I thoroughly believed I had included Beppo the Super-Monkey...only it seems that I did indeed omit Beppo the Super-Monkey. Now, it's even worse, because apparently I can't stop saying Beppo the Super-Monkey! HELP!

"Bouncing Boy"
You should read his original "secret origin" story! He's a slacker delivery boy for a professor who slips into a baseball game while working. Instead of drinking a bottle of soda he drinks the professor's super-rubber compound and becomes able to inflate and bounce! I think MOST of the Legionairres were fashioned around a silly code-name that came first.
Actually I wasn't laughing at the name as much as I was laughing at the character's ability. Even when I read the Legion stories as a kid, thought Bouncing Boy had the most ridiculous "super" power of just about any character in comics at the time.

Has everyone seen the latest CW promo they have been showing with Tess speaking about someone she loved and the bald man with the tubes watching? They also show I think the Legionaires performing some kind of ritual around Chloe/Brainiac, and Doomsday, I only caught like a second of it but it looked really cool. What is the concensus about the bald man? Is it Lex? Not Michael but a body double or even CGI? If so then where is he and I wonder if they will explain what happened after the Fortress collapsed.
