Garak could have had his own show

DumbDumb2007

Commander
garak was one of teh better characters if DS9. he was the head honcho of the Cardy spy ring. If he had gotten a miniseries or his own show it woukd have taken off like a rockert. Andrew Robisnon did a remarkable of making Garak into a likeable yet slightly evil character that sparked the show up. he would have been a good Hannibal Lecter.
Garak stole the show !

I agree that he was a great character masterfully portrayed by Andrew Robinson but I don't know about his own show. What would it be about?

DS9 went downhill after a few seasons but the characters were great. odo, quark, garak and gul dukat are some of my favorite trek characters. if garak had a spin off, I'd watch.

The Garak spin-off we'll never have ... :(

Well, I'm not too excited about the idea of an entire show about him....but I have to tell you, this lobby card made me laugh!

Good work!

^ Thank you. I for one would like a Garak/Cardassia series. :D Fot the first time the focus of the series wouldn't be on humans and/or Starfleet.

The rebuilding of Cardassia after the war?

I don't know. Part of Garak's charm was having the right characters to play off of like Bashir and Sisko. It was the contrast to those characters and his ability to fit in with them that made him so interesting.

I think that is dead on. His sceens with Odo were particularlly great.

I thought of Odo after I posted that. Their scene together in The Die Is Cast was amazing. Garak is using a torture device to pressure Odo for information but it's Odo doing the tormenting.

"What's the matter Garak, can't stomach a little interrogation?"

When Garak finally turns off the device after pleading with Odo to just lie if he had to to stop this, we see the Cardassian slump forward in an obvious self-realization that he can never really go back to what he once was.

I think he would be a good host for that reality show with the lie detectors.

:guffaw: :guffaw:

*teehee*

Yeah, he could definitely bring the reality show genre up to the next level, that's for sure!

Garak is a character of mystery, if he was given his own show he'd need to be fleshed out more and would then loose his mystique, thus loosing what made the character great to begin with.

Garak could have had his own spinoff in the capital city on Cardassia where he lives in his appartement as a tailor, frequently being visited by his lady friend Eren who has constant dating problems, his weird friend G'ramer who always has new crazy things up his sleeve and his short bit fat friend G'orge who still lives with his parents.

The show would be about nothing and everything, watch the gang trying to sell tv pilots, debate lives existance and other things in a hillarious sitcom
