Gaps in the 2017 publishing schedule?

Captain
I was looking ahead at the 2017 publishing schedule and it looks like information is available through the end of August, but with a couple of gaps. There appear to be gaps between March 28 and May 23 and between 6/27 and 8/29.

Has anyone heard any details of what may be coming out during those gaps, if anything?

Here's what I'm showing between now and the end of next September:

11/29/2016 - Star Trek: The Next Generation: Prey, Book III: The Hall of Heroes by John Jackson Miller
12/27/2016 - Star Trek: The Original Series: The Face of the Unknown by Christopher L. Bennett
01/31/2017 - Star Trek: The Next Generation: Headlong Flight by Dayton Ward
02/28/2017 - Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Long Mirage by David R. George III
03/28/2017 - Star Trek: Section 31: Control by David Mack
05/23/2017 - Star Trek: Discovery #1 by David Mack
05/30/2017 - Star Trek: The Next Generation: Hearts and Minds by Dayton Ward
06/19/2017 - Star Trek: Department of Temporal Investigations: Shield of the Gods by Christopher L. Bennett
06/27/2017 - Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: Enigma Tales by Una McCormack
08/29/2017 - Star Trek: Enterprise: Rise of the Federation: Patterns of Interference by Christopher L. Bennett
09/26/2017 - Star Trek: Voyager: Architects of Infinity by Kirsten Beyer

The lack of a novel at the end of April is presumably because of the Discovery novel, which is being published in May in addition to the regular novel due out at the end of May. This is presumably done so that its released concurrently with Discovery's broadcast.

As for the novel at the end of July, it's still early, and the new Enterprise novel being released at the end of August was only announced yesterday. It's possible we could still get news regarding a new novel being released at the end of July any day now.

I'm guessing we'll see some TOS novels announced soon. There's bound to be several of them in each year.

Books are commissioned months before they're announced, and the announcements are a matter of when the paperwork goes through and the blurbs are written and all the promotional stuff is sorted out, so it can be irregular. Sometimes Amazon puts up a listing prematurely and thus an "announcement" gets out into the wild a bit earlier than planned. So gaps in what's been publicly announced do not mean that there are any gaps in the actual publishing schedule.

I'm glad that we got the blurb so soon. Also suprised, but mainly glad.

I see that chapters.ca has Star Trek The Hall of Heroes by John Jackson Miller scheduled for an April 4, 2017 released date on CD from Simon & Schuster Audio. There's nothing to say whether it is an original Audio book, or if this is the audio adaptation of Star Trek Prey, just retitled.

With the trilogies I don't really keep track of the sub-titles, unless I really need to know them. And in this case I really had no idea that Prey 3 had been titled The Hall Of Heroes so I was figuring that it was maybe an abridged version of the Prey trilogy, presented on one or two CD's in an abridged manner.
