I've been thinking about something.
If the Ganger Doctor could be made real - using the same process he used to make the human Gangers real, would that Ganger Doctor then have a full set of regenerations?
I ask because the Doctor told the Ganger Doctor that he may yet survive being melted. It also seems really odd to have made a special point of making himself a Ganger only to teach Ganger Amy a lesson without some greater purpose.
I'm wondering that the Doctor we see die, is actually the Real Doctor who is then replaced by the fully realized Ganger Doctor with a fresh set of regenerations.
River says that even a cell of a Time Lord is infinitely important. The Ganger Doctor's cells are all over the place on that island. Why mention that? And why burn the body?
Maybe it's because the Doctor doesn't wish anyone to know that he created a new version of himself complete with new regenerations?
Is this crazy?
