Thanks Rowan Sjet, Scout101, Brendan Moody, Anwar. I read the spoilers but I don't think it was too much damage. I plan to get the books soon. Next seasons far away so I have plenty of time to catch up.
...Rory McCann is so damned good as The Hound. I loved that after Aria killed the guy and he dispatched of the others, he just sat down and starting eating their food!
I noticed that and it wasn't the first time he stole food, like the pig feet he ate. I figuered that's how he eats at this point.
Melisandre is trying to save Westeros from the real threat beyond The Wall, while most characters argue over who gets to sit on a damn chair. Hardly evil.
She burns people alive.

She is a complicated character, like all the most interesting characters in the series. Very, very few characters could be considered good or evil in ASOIAF. Jaime Lannister is set up is an absolute tosser in A Game of Thrones, then in A Storm of Swords we see things from his perspective and the audience feel more sympathetic. Everybody has their reasons for what they do, and this series isn't about good vs evil. I wouldn't be surprised if even The Others had a nicer side to them.

Ramsay is an obvious example of a rare evil character in this series, but even then he's too hilarious for me to hate.

Remember though, that in the books we see Stannis through Davos's eyes. He worships the man practically.

That's a great point. I love Stannis in the books and I love Stephan Dillane's performance of him in the show. The show's interpretation of him isn't the one I subscribe to but it's valid.

I liked the episode, but the ending scene didn't come close to matching those from the first 2 seasons.

Seemed like Cersie was considering suicide (she did say she wont get married to the Loras dude) before the brother showed up.

Looking forward to season 4.

Remember though, that in the books we see Stannis through Davos's eyes. He worships the man practically.
He admires Stannis's moral code, but is, like Cressen, capable of recognizing that Stannis often behaves in peevish and dishonorable ways. He may be too guilty of ascribing all Stannis' flaws to Melisandre, who is arguably more an excuse for Stannis to do things he wants anyway. But Davos would have to be psychotic for the differences between book-Stannis and TV-Stannis to be merely a matter of Davos' perspective.

Overall, a great season finale. The final scene would have been better if it flowed directly from the fight for Yunkai, but the finale had a lot of excellent character moments. Sam meeting Bran, Joffrey being sent to bed, Davos freeing Gendry, and Yara setting off to save her little brother were all highlights. Arya seeing Robb's corpse with Grey Wind's head attached and her later revenge on one of the men who claimed to have been involved was gut-wrenching.
