The article mentions that there are others coming besides what it lists. Could be some interesting additions. Love that the Blackfish finally made it. I love that character and have a feeling he may be very important down the road. Also looking forward to Dondarrion returning, but is he being recast? I wonder if we'll get to see Vargo Hoat at some point or if he and the Bloody Mummers have been passed over. He had some significant "influence" on Jaimie's storyline.

Damn, there's a lot of characters! Major ones like the above and even minor ones like Chett, the Kettleblacks, Strong Belwas, and more. If we get Shireen as this list indicates, will we get Patchface as well? I've always had the feeling that there was something important about him.

Like most battle sequences, it got a bit tedious by the end, but the initial wildfire spectacle was sublime.

Outside of that, I'm a bit curious what people's opinions are as to why the Hound decided to proverbially shove his middle finger up the King's asshole.

In a word, well three...Too much fire.

A quick flashback might have worked well there. As a non-book reader I didn't get it either, I thought he just figured it was a lost cause and was like "Fuck it!".

The dude's face is covered in burn scars! How much more of a reminder does one need?

Yeah it's not like we didn't learn about how he got the scars. I would think every time someone saw him on screen they would remember that detail

Maybe it was totally obvious and I was totally oblivious. I guess I just didn't put two and two together there personally. When they showed the fire they kept showing it amongst the battle and it seemed more like the battle as a whole getting out of hand rather than just the fire. Wouldn't be the first time I was slow on the uptake.

There was also the part where he warned that one dude not to hit him with one of those flaming arrows, and then his line about going someplace that wasn't burning.

I actually took the line about going somewhere not burning to still mean he wanted to go somewhere that hadn't fallen to the dogs. I was totally clueless with this episode.

I definitely should've been clued in by his warning about the arrows.

My favorite moment of the episode. Not only for what it signifies now - the Lannisters winning again, against all odds - but what it means for the future.

That reminds me - thanks a fucking bunch the stupid announcer on Sky who yapped *all fucking through the song so we couldn't hear it.*

They decided at some point during the editing/post of Season 1 to cut all the flashbacks they had filmed for it, so I doubt we'll see any in the future.

Did they actually filmed any flashbacks, except for the Mad King killing Ned's father and brother? There was a screenshot from that scene in one of the S1 trailers, but the scene didn't show up in any of the episodes. Perhaps it was in the first version of the pilot.

IIRC, there was a scene at Ned Stark's tourney back in Season 1 where either Littlefinger or Joffrey (can't remember which) told Sansa about Hound's scars. That scene probably would have been a good quick addition to the "recap" scenes in the beginning of the ep. I could understand why some might have forgotten about it, being very short and long ago. A lot has happened since then...

It took me about two weeks (beginning with S1 Ep.1), but I've finally caught up with the rest of you.

A very good episode. Tyrion rocks! :techman:

They'll need the extra time for Littlefinger to appear in the Wildling camp with a secret for Jon Snow.
Do you think they'll include that scene? I figured they'd leave it for next season, considering the distance Littlefinger has to cover.

:shifty:

I'd have to agree; the last episode makes it seem as though Jon tried getting away, they will likely keep the action low here. They will likely make that part of the last scene and keep you wondering what is going to happen next.

Really enjoyed it. I love how well articulated Tyrion's rise to brilliance was. I loved the Cersei/Sansa scenes in the book from the siege, so glad they came across well. Loved the wildfire.

I still don't come away going "WOOOOOWWW!". And not sure why. It was a faultless episode. Perhaps just having read the books takes some of that out, not sure.

Oh, and I loved the song over the end credits.
