I’m going for broke with Fortunate Son.
- Needing information: the freighter crew spends a good deal of time torturing their prisoner for the Nausicaan pirates’ shield frequencies.
- Trust is broken: Matthew Ryan pretends to lead Archer & co to the prisoner, but attack and trap them instead.
- A look at this culture: boomer/early spacefarer culture.
- Repairs are made: Trip repairs some of the damage the Fortunate has sustained.
- A speech from an unlikely source: Travis ends up giving a big speech to Ryan at the end.
- A good meal: Travis and Ryan bond over the Enterprise’s excellent food in the mess hall.
- Two places at once: when discussing the transporter, Ryan says “They say that for a split second you can actually feel yourself in both places at once.”
- I want to try it: Travis responds to the above with “Why do you think I want to try it?”
