Does anyone remember this cartoon series from the 80s? (When cartoons were actually cool; there is nothing standing out now. Although, the 70s had something going on as well; we did have the Planet of the Apes cartoon, as well as Star Trek...and other shows).

Anyway, this was about a football player (a jock) named Doyle who is a student who goes to an interplanetary school; Amy is a nerd who is also goes to this interplanetary school. However, Doyle becomes the guy getting picked on, while Amy becomes one of the 'cool people'...

Doyle continually gets picked on by 'Beef,' a muscle-bound alien, and his entourage...

And yes, even though she was a toon...I did think Amy was cute at the time, as well as that alien chick she used to hang around with...

This was the time of Macron-1, Robotech, Ulysses 31, Voltron, Transformers, Ewoks, Droids, Ghostbusters...etc....

Here is a clip of the intro:

(If we need to remove that link, mods, due to some forum policy, go ahead)

In any event, I like that theme song...;)

"Hi, I'm Booie Bubblehead. Have we me....."
"Yes, Booie, we've met."
"We have? Oh, ok."

"Oh Hi, I'm Booie Bubblehead. Have we met?"
"*sigh*"

Yes, I remember the show very well.
I just can't remember the name of the thing that would fly around & sing all the time.

I vaguely remember this show. Not one of my favourites but moderately watchable. I remember the 6 armed guy was called Milo de Venus.

Hey, to a kid at the time, that was a pretty funny gag! :D

I vaguely remember it as well...was it syndicated or was it part of one of the network's Saturday morning lineups?

yep I loved it! thanks for the link! lookin at it again Im impressed at how good the animation was for that time(and for tv no less!) I dont know if its just b/c it's the intro though(the intros always have better animation). I kinda wish it would come out on dvd...
