Gal Gadot cast as Wonder Woman In ‘Batman Vs. Superman’

Wonder Woman and Faora take a selfie. With Hal Jordan photobombing in the background.

DC Comics had a line of selfie variant covers last month. That pic would have made a great one. ...for Green Lantern of course.

Also, back to costumes, I wonder if there are more concept costumes to see later on.

Actually what I'd love to see someday is a book focusing on just superhero costume concept art from all the different superhero movies over the years.

Because you know they have people drawing up hundreds of variations before they finally settle on the one we see, and at the most we only ever get to see 3 or 4 of them in a Making Of book.

A version of Wonder Woman who lives with her mother? Never mind that the mother isn't Hippolyta...in addition to being painful to watch in its own right, it's embarrassing to imagine a WW show on the air in the late 60s that would have been a step backwards from That Girl.

As it happens, one of the writers of that abortive '60s Wonder Woman pilot, Stanley Ralph Ross, would later develop the Lynda Carter WW series. So I guess he learned from his mistake and did a more faithful version the second time around.

So some sneaky bastard just snuck inbetween and ninjaed Cathy Lee Crosby on us while Stan was having a smoke out back?

I met a girl named Linda recently (same age as me, no idea why I'm calling her a girl.) and she has a large tattoo of Wonder Woman on her her calve because "Linda Carter was the Original Wonder Woman."

Seminla? Yes. Original? No... But I didn't have the heart to school her.

Warner Bros. to develop a Legion of Super-Heroes film?

Surely this has nothing to do with the massive success of Marvel's recent space-based superhero film. :p

While I'm a fan of the Legion of Super-Heroes and would love to see them on the big screen, this feels like another desperation move from Warner Bros. They're rushing so hard to catch up with Marvel that I'm worried they'll end up ruining the party for everyone.

Well, the original Guardians of the Galaxy always seemed to me, back in the day, as Marvel copying (loosely) the LSH, so it shouldn't be completely unexpected that the reverse would happen now.

It's not plagiarism when you copy yourself.

Or is that why you're winking?

I've never been that much of a fan of Dave Cockrum.

I really doubt they see it as any kind of competition. More than likely WB just wants to cash in on the same superhero wave that everyone else is profiting from right now.

Nah, it reeks of monkey see-monkey do.
If they were just trying to profit from the superhero wave then they'd be doing vastly different concepts.
If they announced Firestorm or Question, something clearly not parallel to something Marvel just did, is doing then your latter idea would hold better.

Well they still have to make movies that'll have some kind of wide audience appeal. And I really don't see movies based on Firestorm or Question doing that. It's obviously going to be something more team-based or featuring more well known characters.

And I'm also not seeing much of a similarity between LSH and Guardians either, other than the fact they both take place in space.
