FX orders Powers to pilot

I hadn't thought of Sackhoff, but that's the kind of casting that would make me interested in the show.

I don't know the comic, but, the Pedigree is looking pretty Good. Producers, Directors, and Writers from Walking Dead, Justified Pilot, Sons of Anarchy Pilot, The Shield.... Now we have Katee Sakoff in an Action role that a comic fan believes she is perfect for.

Yeah, this is looking very good. Who should play the male lead? I'd love to see Adam Baldwin in something else. His Chuck role is too limited for him and that show needs to end this year.

Don't think Adam Baldwin as great an actor as he is would be right for Christian. Nathan Fillion comes to mind but he's kind of busy right now as well. Someone with the combination of these two would be great. Christian starts out in the series as being kind of a dud of a character but evolves as we learn more about him.

Ben Browder, then.

Only thing is, he's portrayed as physically massive in the comic, and Browder ain't that big.

They'll have to scale their expectations down to the constraints of humanoid actors I suppose.

Well, looking at the picture in the various online articles, with the male lead being this big, square-jawed hero type, I immediately thought of Matt Keeslar for the lead. He played that type to perfection in The Middleman, and I'm sure he could pull off a darker, more serious take on it as well.

Never heard of him, so I looked him up. Works for me. Looks like Tony Curtis a bit at least from some angles.

I think that Sackhoff would be a great choice. They would be lucky to have someone to talented.

We have our Deena. I have no idea who the actress is but I like how she looks, think she could pull of the role.

I wonder if Kyle Chandler is still interested in the male lead?

Surprisingly Deena is a brunette with extremely short hair. Think Monica Baccarin's current style.

Everytime I see an illustration of the character from the comic, she's blonde.

My bad. I'm misremembering things. You're of course right. Maybe I just want a brunette instead lol.

well this sounds like a great series. and, if it's going to be on fx expect it to be a short season of 12 or 13 episodes. they have 13 graphic novels so far is the series still running in it's comic form?

Sigh. Yes Powers is still going. Bendis just recently started another volume I believe. Last year was the big relaunch. Getting a little ahead of ourselves if you think this will be an entire series yet. We'll see if the pilot even gets picked up first.
