Future Vulcan books?

Vastator

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
I've read both Vulcan's Heart and Vulcan's Soul by Josepha Sherman and Susan Shwartz which I both enjoyed; especially the latter of the two books as it explored the Vulcan-in-Exile. My question though is there any plans to make another sequel by the above two authors? I just enjoy the exploration of Vulcan/Romulan society and wouldnt mind seeing the Watraii again and seeing how they are doing. Also, wouldnt mind seeing another trip down memory lane and seeing how Romulan society evolved on Romulus after the events what we saw in Vulcan's Soul.

The only name I can think of for such a series is Vulcan's Mind :vulcan:

Nothing's been announced for the next couple years, but that doesn't mean it's never going to happen. Have you read Tales of the Dominion War? One of the stories in it (Blood Sacrifice) was written by Sherman & Shwarts, and deals with Spock and Ruanek on Romulus during the DW.

I'd love another book dealing with Vulcan/Romulan/Watraii society. Does anyone know if the Watraii have been mentioned anywhere else other than the Vulcan's Soul trilogy by Sherman & Shwartz? That series also mentions that Chekov and Uhura are still alive which also hasn't been dealt with by anyone else (other than Uhura in MWB's Catalyst of Sorrows) that I know of...

Mentioned, but not much more than that, in A Singular Destiny.

Some pilgrims are mentioned as being on Vulcan at the time of the Borg attack, and are some of the refugees being treated by Sonek Pran's son. But they are only discussed by other characters, and do not appear themselves.

I caught that reference despite having only read the first book in Vulcan's Soul thus far. That reference made me think "Damnit, I really need to get back to that trilogy..."

I'm not 100% sure, but I think there might have been one or two references to Uhura in other books.

I still think that's quite a stretch that the two would still be alive at that point...

I do have to agree with you there, IMO we're getting close to Star Wars character syndrome here. (For those who don't know, in the SW books the original trilogy characters are pushing 70 but they still have them running around like they did in the movies.)

All the TOS characters save Kirk (died in Generations, though revived outside of continuity in Shatner's books) and Sulu (status unknown, though strongly implied living in an older book) and still alive and active at this time (although Spock and Scotty have 'outs' - Vulcan lifespan and transporter accident, respectively).

Fictitiously yours, Trent Roman

Don't they just draw them slightly older on the covers?

Well, a) we don't know the average human lifespan in the Original Series and b) we don't know what medical technologies might exist to extend lifespans up to Next Gen & beyond.

We do know that McCoy lived to at least the high-side of 130 years old, though.
