Future Trek Movie

I have been thinking about what a future Trek movie might be about and i've decided i'd like to see a film focusing on biological weapons capable of targeting specific species and DNA similar to the weapons used by the Aschen in Stargate.
The biological weapon in the film will have been designed and engineered to specifically target only Humans and is capable of killing in a matter of a few seconds once infection begins. The weapon was created from replicating and reprogramming Borg nanoprobes.

As the film begins we see Humans across the Quadrant suddenly showing signs of skin darkening and veins turning black, they suffer strong convulsions and are then dead. Other people around these humans are shown to be uneffected by the 'disease'. Many of the scenes will show Humans during diplomatic talks around tables talking then suddenly dieing / crew members in the mess halls of their ships or on the bridge / we even see a scene on DS9 of Bashir dieing ;) / we see an entire colony wiped out.
These scenes will be dramatic. ;)

When news hits Earth about the disease/weapon all hell breaks lose, people start panicking. Martial law is declared when things start getting worse and all inbound outbound travel to Earth is suspended.

Starfleet intelligence believes they have information that the people behind the new biological weapon may have had dealings with a scientist by the name of Dr. Dagon who was known to be working on nano technology and was researching trying to find a way to quickly and easily reprogram Borg nanoprobes in the hopes of neutering the Borg threat.
Starfleet calls in the Titan, their mission is to find this Dr.Dagon and find out who is behind the new weapon and hopefully bring an end to this disease and to stop it spreading further. Starfleet also orders much of the Human crew to be replaced by none Humans as a precaution except for several of the crew with exceptional skill who are happy to remain onboard.

One of the crew however is a section 31 operative, sent to the Titan to ensure the mission is a success. Section 31 has far more intelligence on the situation and the operative is there to ensure this information gets utilised without blowing Section 31's cover.

We find by the end of the movie the race behind the weapon is a new never before seen race. A race who's been lurking in the shaddows for over a century.

One of the guest characters for the film (played by Robert Picardo) will be Voyagers EMH with the mobile emitter. His extensive knowledge of Borg technology proves to be vital.

It's Xmas, posting is slow...

Nice idea, but no need for it to be specifically a movie. Could just as well be an ongoing element in a TV series. And wasn't there a TNG episode once that dealt with something similar?

Why a new race? This sounds like something the Dominion would do.

A race who's been lurking in the Shadows, you say?

Perhaps Section 31's intelligence comes from another unknown race known as the Vorlons?

Sorry, sorry, couldn't help myself... but honestly, the idea doesn't thrill me.

I like the idea. But, include cameos of the Enterprise-E with the U.S.S. Titan. Open with the political fall-out at Starfleet Command pertaining to Picard's choice to ram the Reman Schimitar & the loss of Data. Some "where are they now" catching-up beginning with Wesley Crusher, (whom supposedly married Robin Lefler before taking the Assistant Chief Engineer post on the Titan, but that was left on the cutting room floor in "Nemesis".) Captain Morgan Bateson has to (temporarily) re-take command of the Enterprise-E, as Picard is summoned to Starfleet Headquarters to participate in the routine (possibly disciplinary,) inquiry when the virus initially hits Earth / The Sol System.

I'd like to see the movie that Brent Spiner brought up come to the big screen. Nemesis II, that would have all the Star Trek captains involved and Kirk from the Nexus..Also I think Jonathan Frakes (if not him I don't know who) brought up the idea of Yesterday's Enterprise would be a movie, now that would be a great idea.
