The Cardies will be back, but they'd do it in some clever, underhanded, Garak-ian way, using the resources of others to push forward their agenda. Their currently disadvantaged position will allow their underlying malicious creativity to emerge.

Somehow, with the ancient Hebetian civilization's religion coming back into vogue on Cardassia, I doubt it. And as I said before, they'll be spending all of their time trying to rebuild themselves into a better people rather than be conquerors and destroyers due to a fascist ideology that ultimately wrecked their civilization the same way that Germany, Japan, and Italy were wrecked due to theirs in WWII.

Nice try, Temis, but you'll have to advance the Dominion's agenda through somebody else.

This is my own "Vinkula-verse". All the series are in the timeline, but now we just have jumped to year 2386. (And why 2386, it just came to my mind).

A new race comes about or one of the obscure/seldom seen or mentioned like the Sheliak or the Tzenkathi. I like the idea that a minor power fills in the void that depleted the major powers that fought in the Dominion War. Plus I like the idea of having a conflict without the usual suspects.
