It's funny, how the author of this photoshop noticed C-3PO's effeminate voice. In "A New Hope" it's profoundly less so, he talks more like a regular British guy. From ESB on, however, yeah ... he speaks in an increasingly pussfiied manner and there's no "character" reason I can pin down for it, other than that it must be some "inside" joke George Lucas appreciates. The prequels were the worst with that, I hated his every appearance in them (especially in "Revenge of the Sith") .. "Oh! I feel so ... helpless." 3PO needs a reprogramming as delivered by a sledgehammer in full swing ...
