Funny tempest in a teapot (or short skirt) - Daily Mail criticism

I think what Wamdue means is even if we found Murdoch's political views questionable we wouldn't care if he didn't have any power to influence people, and since he's bought the power he has it's the money we should hate him for, not the political views that we would otherwise overlook.
well thank god, someone is finally starting to cotton on to my way of thinking.

I dont know if you agree with my thinking or not Bob the Skutter but you at least seem to follow the logic im using.

Honestly I had pretty much given up on this thread.

I agree with your thought process and can see your point but I don't agree that it lessens the point of their joke, or even their right to hold the opinion because they've worked for Fox because I can't honestly say that in their position I'd do anything else myself. Besides which I don't give a care that he has money, I just dislike what he does with it.

Aaaand another Daily Fail article.

Curse you BBC! What happened to your sense of decency?

People are seriously complaining about this ? They realise that Hollyoaks, Eastenders and a whole bunch of other shows and films where female and male characters wear a lot more revealing outfits are shown in very similar timeslots, right ?

That almost sounds like some of the prudish stuff you'd head from some Americans.

With the exception of Donna all new female companions have been hot. Hell, Freema Agyeman was one of the hottest women in both incarnations of the show and her character still was tough enough to keep the Doctor from going off the deep end.

fixed that for you.
a) A single-episode throwaway character can't really be considered a companion. Otherwise you could just as well count the other survivors of that mission even though they just tagged along to get out of that hellhole.
b)If you consider Donna hot you might want to get your eyes examined.

Speaking of skirts, will we ever get a Doctor in a kilt?
Just imagine a scene like that with Tennant putting on a false Scottish accent on top of the English one. The joke just wouldn't be the same with an English actor.

And she didn't have that horsey mouth Billie has either (before and after).

While I thought Freema was a horrid actress, she was easily the most beautiful, facially, of the three.

So a Scot playing a guy with English accent who's faking an Scots accent?
Exactly. That's just the kind of awkward situation they would've put him in.
