Funny Riker/Worf moment in "The Game"

Watch the briefing room scene in "The Game" carefully and you'll notice a funny exchange between Riker and Worf. After Worf presents his homemade alien poundcake to Wesley, Riker does this funny laugh and nod take. Worf shoots him the death look. Throughout the rest of the scene, Worf keeps looking at Riker like "WTF?" and Riker just keeps giggling to himself. It's pretty funny to catch this, as it all happens in the background.

It is funny, i put the dvd in after i read this post. I guess Frakes thought Riker would think of poundcake as kind of a girly gift from a klingon. Dorn always showed great disdain when he thought worf would be embarassed. I like this, but my favorite exchange between Worf and Riker was in insurrection when Riker stated, "you klingons don't do anything small." Worfs look there is good too.

Worf was always sensitive about appearing weak when making a kind gesture. Riker, being the playful type, would call his spot to get a reaction out of him.

I always thought it looked like Worf was looking to Riker to gauge whether or not Wesley appreciated the gesture, to which Riker affirms by nodding and smiling.

But it's been a while...gonna hafta have a loo k at it now with fresh eyes. :)

It really was a funny moment

Klingons are a hunter-gatherer type species. Providing food is a man's job, nothing to feel ashamed about.
