Read that recently as well. It really should have been an episode. Would have helped a lot getting the character of Wesley over.
Q Squared as well was pretty funny. Especially the Winnie the Pooh scene.

(Although the German puns are going right over my head, sadly.....
Leckomio could be translated as 'Holy Shit' or 'Son of a B****' or something like that. 'Son of a Liquidator' would be more appropriate I would think!

Anything by Peter David usually has some laughs. Mike Ford's How Much For Just The Planet? was less ha-ha funny and more bizarre, IMHO. Kinda like Trek to Madworld but 100x better and with musical numbers.
I believe it's just Mike McMahan, the writer of Warped, and showrunner of Lower Decks that was involved with both.From the team behind the forthcoming "Lower Decks" animated series...
