I've been experimenting with greenscreen photography. I took a few different images of my as yet not quite complete Polar Lights 1:1000 scale Enterprise. I shot it mainly to test out the model and camera set-up I built to see if it's sturdy enough to take separate images that will stack on top of each other. I've still got some bugs to work out but the experiment was valuable in that I kinda know what areas need to improve. (Mainly lighting the subject and getting a more even light on the green screen. Also, my cheap camera only has auto focus. I've got to be able to focus manually to do this right. And I have everything too close together so far, there was a lot of green spill light on the model so I found a NASA pic of the Catseye nebula and tweaked it a bit here and there so it's not so obvious where the source is. So, any opinions?
The image isn't really done, just done for tonight, so it's still WIP. I still have lots of cleaning up to do. I'm not happy with the cabin lights so I think I'll redo them entirely. And I mean to paint in the missing loops on the warp nacelles.
